IGNOU Term End Exam (Theory) Passing Marks 2024

Most Term End Exam’s theoretical papers consist of 100 marks. Earlier the passing marks in TEE exams were 35 that are now increased to 40. So, if you wish to pass the TEE theory exams, you must score a minimum of 40 out of 100. While the TEE exams of courses like B.Com and M.Com mostly have 100 marks, other courses may also have a total score of 75 and 50. We will know about the passing marks of all ahead in this article. 

IGNOU Term End Exam (Practical) Passing Marks 2024

For some courses, students also have to appear in practical exams. Similarly to assignments and TEE theoretical exams, TEE Practical exams are also of 100 marks. So, you must score at least 40 out of 100 to pass the practical exam. Courses that have practical exams have a weightage of 75% combining both theory and practical exams. For such courses, the assignments hold 25% weightage.

According to the new scoring method at IGNOU, students must score a minimum of 40% in any exam, assignment, practical, or other. As we have mentioned earlier, most IGNOU courses have TEE exams of 100 marks. So, the IGNOU passing mark out of 100 is 40.

IGNOU has exams with diverse scores and one of them is 75 marks. Currently, students have to score a minimum of 40%. So, in an exam of 75 marks, you must score a minimum of 30.
